GD (Ram) Ramkumar
Ram was previously Chief Architect for Visual Search at A9.com, a subsidiary of Amazon.com. Ram joined A9.com via the acquisition of SnapTell. SnapTell developed one of the industry’s first successful mobile visual search applications.
Ram has over fifteen years of R&D experience developing scalable software systems. Formerly, he was Senior Software Architect in the CTO Office of McDATA, responsible for the company’s overall software strategy. He joined McDATA via the acquisition of startup Sanera Systems, where he led the system software architecture. He has been granted five patents with nine more pending. He has published and presented over fifteen research papers in international journals and conferences.
